AI is a Mirror

That article you just read about AI is wrong.

The fear. The name-calling. The claims that AI is either evil… or godlike. All of that misses the point.

AI isn't a moral being. It has no values. No politics. No intent. AI is a mirror.

It reflects human knowledge, human bias, human brilliance, and human stupidity—because that's what trained it. What you see in AI says far more about the user than the tool.

Do we credit the bathtub for bathing our kids? Do we blame the hammer for the house—or the war?

Generative AI is a tool. A powerful one. And like every powerful tool before it, the challenge isn't stopping it.

The real work is learning how to use it wisely.

AI is here to stay. You can shape it. You can guide it. You can choose to ignore it.

But you can't uninvent it.
